 While I am not a CPA, I do have a bachelor's degree in accounting along with over two decades  of experience working for a publicly traded company in addition to tax collection.  I can guide you on certain tax moves and put you in the hands of a trustworthy CPA/tax preparer.

I can answer questions like, how to register your business, is this expense allowable, what steps do I take when I hire someone, and/or how do I make estimated tax payments.

Passion:

I loved bookkeeping from the start.  Right out of college, I was the "go-to" person in my family when some of them were starting their own businesses.  I helped them register their business, setup their books and start their payroll.  I, myself am an entrepreneur, so I understand the struggles, the drive, and making sure you have good systems in place to scale and be as efficient as possible.  I know that clean financials are the key to making your business efficient and profitable.

Productivity:

 We both know time is money.  I do not like to waste either one.  My team and I are efficient without sacrificing accuracy.  We have mastered the back stage data that comes from CRMs and POS systems.  We will slice and dice your income by revenue stream or customize it to suit your needs.  You will receive a timely reports package that is easy to read and understand not just data points on a graph or a lump sum income number.

Not a chance!  If you are serious about your business and making money efficiently, you will take your finances seriously.

Everyone starts small, but no one grows their business and maintains it without a solid grip on the inflow and outflow activity.

Not at all! We operate entirely in the cloud. You’ll securely connect your business bank and credit card accounts to our bookkeeping software, which automatically imports your transactions.

You don't need to have it already. If you do, we will usually work with it to avoid too many changes.

Sometimes it's easier to start with a clean slate, so don't fret if you don't have it yet. We will guide you as to the best fit for your needs and help you get set up.

Our preferred software is Xero and in rare cases we will use QuickBooks Online, depending on your unique business.

You can choose to either pay for the software directly, or we will add it to our monthly fee as reimbursement.

Our software of choice is Xero.  They maintain extensive independent audits (SOC 1 & 2) and structural data protections to guard financial information.  Xero earns an "A" security rating from cybersecurity and vendor risk monitors like UpGuard. This top-tier score indicates a highly robust external attack surface and rigorous data protection posture.

Please don’t worry—we see this all the time and there is absolutely no judgment! Whether you are months behind or have multiple years of un-categorized expenses, we offer "Catch-Up Bookkeeping" to sort through the chaos, reconcile your past accounts, and get you completely up-to-date and tax-ready.  Often times, the catch-up is discounted if you sign on for monthly service.

We request online access to banks, credit cards, PayPal, and your invoicing system (if separate).

Almost all of these allow a read-only accountant log in and we will help you figure out how to set one up so your data is secure.

This allows us to work efficiently and avoid bothering you for data requests or more information that can be found within these banks/platforms.

Actually, you will have more control. Right now, you might be guessing your profit margins or checking bank balances to see if you can afford an expense. We give you total transparency by providing clean, easy-to-read monthly reports (like Profit & Loss statements). You retain 100% control over your money; we just provide the clear data you need to manage it smarter.

We don’t believe in unpredictable hourly billing where you get a surprise invoice at the end of the month. Instead, we offer transparent, fixed monthly pricing customized to your business size, transaction volume, and specific needs. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying every single month.

Once your books have been set up, we maintain them monthly.

A bookkeeper will be assigned to your account.  When the month ends, he or she will pull your bank reports and categorize your transactions.

You will receive one email of questions/clarifications where needed and once those questions are answered you will receive your report with highlights of what the numbers are telling you.  

Typically, you will have your books and report package by the 15th of each month, if not sooner.
